[X2Go-Dev] New X2Go-ThinClientEdition-Live images available; changes to X2Go-TCE-Live build process

Hi everyone,

this is to inform you that new X2Go-TCE-Live images have been built and
are available for download here:

All files have been checksummed with md5, sha1 and sha256, the resulting
files have been clearsigned using my GPG private key.  My GPG public key
is attached to this message, so you can (and should) verify the
integrity of your downloads.

The most important change is probably the one documented in this diff:
<http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:howto:tce?do=revisions>

It allows you to query which versions of X2Go-TCE are installed/running,
if you are using local storage/writable portable media in combination
with the updateurl= boot parameter.  This is really helpful if you are
using some kind of monitoring software - now you can monitor update
progress.

Also, all log output from our custom startup/if-up scripts is now
written to /dev/tty8 as soon as it becomes available, and once a network
interface is "up", an attempt is made to sync time using the ntpdate
command (at present, it uses the ntp servers that are used as defaults
in Debian; the code could be expanded to use custom ones if required).

Other than that, the current images now feature a colorful login message
both locally as well as via SSH, where details like MAC and IP are
highlighted, as well as various improvements to the update mechanism.


Please note that there have also been a few changes to the X2Go-TCE-Live
build process, so if you're using our scripts to build your own image,
you should download current copies from the wiki:
