for purposes of installation the Git is not appropriate.

Please use a tool like apt-mirror (apt-get install apt-mirror) to  
mirror the X2go package archive:

stable/uthoern:
deb http://x2go.obviously-nice.de/deb lenny main

testing/pre-baikal:
deb http://x2go.obviously-nice.de/deb heuler main
