The X2GO splash on desktop session startup is rendered by the  
server-side x2goagent application by the function nxagentPaintLogo in  
programs/Xserver/hw/nxagent/Splash.c.

This function could surely be patched to allow custom splash screens  
for sessions or the disabling of splash images at all. If you can do  
this we will be happy to review your patch.
