I had this problem with 10.10 as well, and discovered the Keyboard Shortcuts had
the D key mapped to an action.   I disabled that action (Hide all normal
windows...), and everything was fine after that. 

Are there instructions for installing x2go under Maverick?   I have had a world
of problems with freenx, and would like to change over.
