[X2go-dev] x2goclient hangs on login

This looks correct.

I have no idea what genconf/genoconf is.

This sounds like SSL. You don't need an SSL certificate or something
like that for X2go.

Which distribution are you using, and which manual did you use?

You don't need that. You can even connect to an IP number. Or you can
put something in the /etc/hosts on the client.
